Air-dried flowers are beautiful, but they fade, they're fragile, and within a few years they lose their colour. Pressing is lovely for single specimens but can't capture the fullness of a bouquet.
Resin preservation is different. Your flowers are dried slowly in silica gel to hold their form and colour — then set in layers of hand-poured, premium resin that lets light pass through them. The result is a piece that looks as stunning in ten years as it does the day it arrives.

How your flowers become a keepsake

Arrival and assessment
Your flowers arrive and I assess each bloom — checking condition and deciding the best approach for drying.

Silica gel drying
Flowers are carefully set in silica gel for 3–5 weeks. Different flowers take different times — rushing this is how things go wrong.

Prep and design
Each dried flower is hand-cleaned and any petals are repaired. A design layout is created based on your preferences.

Resin casting
Resin is poured in careful layers every 24–36 hours, building up depth and clarity. Curing takes 1–2 weeks.
Important: flowers must reach me within 48-72 hours of your wedding.
Keep your bouquet in fresh water overnight, then pack it following my simple instructions and send via Royal Mail tracked next-day.

If your flowers arrive in less than perfect condition, I'll let you know what's workable before I proceed. I can also accept flowers you've already air-dried yourself. In some cases, very similar flowers can be sourced if yours are no longer usable — please ask.

Some colour change is possible — dark colours may deepen slightly, and whites can shift towards a warm cream. Some varieties hold their colour beautifully; others are more unpredictable. If you have specific concerns about your flowers, get in touch before your wedding and I'll advise.

Typically 8–12 weeks from when your flowers arrive. Drying alone takes 3–5 weeks; resin casting and curing adds several more. I'll give you a clear estimate when you enquire and keep you updated throughout.

Not at all. Just tell me about your flowers and what you have in mind — we'll work out the right piece together. Once you're happy, I'll confirm the details and send you a payment link to secure your order.

CraftResin has built-in UV protection which significantly slows any yellowing. Kept out of direct sunlight and away from heat, a well-made resin piece can remain beautifully clear for many years. I use only premium resin chosen specifically for its UV resistance — and I'll always advise on how to display your piece to keep it looking its best.

Some colour change during the drying and setting process is natural — and I'll always be honest with you about what to expect with your specific flowers. White flowers often warm to a soft ivory, which many brides find even more beautiful than the original. Blues and purples are the most likely to shift. Reds, pinks, creams and greens tend to hold well. I'll flag anything worth knowing before I begin.

Once your order is confirmed I'll send you full packing instructions by email — everything you need to pack and post your bouquet safely. In short: keep your flowers in fresh water overnight, wrap the stems in damp paper towel, seal in a plastic bag (stems only, not petals), wrap loosely in dry tissue paper, and send with Royal Mail Special Delivery first thing the morning after your wedding. Full instructions are always provided.

If you'd like to include something additional — a bridesmaid's stem, a ribbon, a charm — just get in touch as soon as possible and I'll let you know whether it's still possible. Once work has begun it may not always be feasible, but I'll always do my best.

I'll always do my best. Current turnaround is approximately 8–12 weeks from when your flowers arrive. If you have a date in mind, please mention it when you get in touch — the more notice I have the better. I'll always be honest if a deadline isn't achievable.

Each piece takes weeks to make properly. Your flowers spend 3–5 weeks drying in silica gel, then resin is poured in careful layers over several days, each layer curing before the next is added. The whole process — from your flowers arriving to your piece being dispatched — takes 8–12 weeks. Every step is done by hand, by me personally. There are no shortcuts. The price reflects the time, the materials, and the care that goes into something made to last a lifetime.

Yes of course — just let me know the recipient's name and delivery address when we confirm your order and I'll send it directly to them. If you'd like a handwritten gift note included, just send me the wording.

Yes — if your flowers have already been air-dried, get in touch and send me a photo first. Results with pre-dried flowers can vary depending on how they were dried and how long ago. I'll always give you an honest assessment before we proceed.

I work from a private home studio near Reigate, Surrey — so studio visits aren't something I offer. All pieces are dispatched with tracked delivery and beautifully packaged. If you're local and would prefer to collect, just get in touch and we can arrange something.
